Chath Puja , Mahaparv of 4 day span which is celebrated in Bihar and regions of Uttar Pradesh has started and thus the celebration of the same too has began. In India festivals are incomplete without mouthwatering dishes and specially sweets, so today I'll share authentic recipes Chath Puja sweets and dishes.
CELEBRATE CHATH PUJA WITH 10 TRADITIONAL RECIPIES OF BIHAR
Let's start the list with the snacks of all time in Bihar that is Thekua. Thekua,the famous snack and some call it khajuriya too, is prepared with three main ingredients wheat flour, sugar or you can use jaggery and lots of dry fruits. Dough is prepared of these main ingredients, then moulded into shape and deep fried in shudh desi ghee.
This is a perfect healthy dish and can be simply prepared from soaked green chana, cumin seeds, some green chilies and of course ghee. If you want it to be very simple and plain then these mentioned ingredients are enough but if you want some masaledar chana ghugni then you'll need to follow some more steps which you can learn from the video.
I can't dare to miss this delightful sweet ,and pretty sure that you too won't because if this is missing from your plate then meal would be not so delightful. You can call it Indian style donut ,made from buttermilk and flour.
This Chath Puja give Bihar's traditional dish malpua some Rajasthani twist and add a flour of rabdi to it .This sweet is easy to make and require no prior preparation, flour, milk, banana, sugar and rabdi is what all you need as ingredient.
For "Mahaparv" something very unconventional should be there in the platter, but what it could be?Give a thought to it...umm Puri !! Nahh. Treat your taste buds will be puri stuffed with daal of your choice,either it be moong daal or delicious chana daal stuffing.
